Bürgenstock:
The funicular Kehrsiten-Bürgenstock remains closed due to the constructions on Mt. Bürgenstock until 2014. Even though, a visit is well worth! The spectacular "Felsenweg" and the outdoor elevator "Hammetschwandlift" are operating and awaiting you. The "Felsenweg (25 min.) is currently open from Restaurant Taverne to the elevator, the backmost part of the trail had been damaged during winter time. The journey begins in Stansstad via Postal Bus to the stop "Obbürgen, Abzw. Trogen". Please note that the hiking trail on the left to the top of Bürgenstock is not suitable for wheelchairs and buggies. You may chose the street (on the right side) instead.

Sports are good for you: Lukas wins over grandma.
Dear diary, I confess that today I was a little jealous of Lukas. Sure, we all had fun on that hike, and Mom and Dad even let me go down that toboggan run twice. But then Lukas saw those mountain bike riders and turned to Grandma and told her how healthy it is to ride your bike in the mountains, and about his birthday coming up, and about his stupid kiddie bike. Why is it that my birthday is always so much later than his?
